Water pump needs a reverse impeller in that the competition motor drive belt configuration has it turning in the opposite direction from that of the stock configuration.
Need to press off the stock impeller and press on the replacement reverse impeller. Best Machine in San Rafael did the work for $50. Quicksilver sold me the part for $95.
Water pump bolted back into water pump housing.
15 ft-lbs of torque.
New water pump pulley from Quicksilver ($75).
9 ft-lbs of torque for the pulley fasteners.
